Applewood Farms believes the foundation of a successful horseback riding program starts by providing riders with the fundamentals of proper horsemanship. Applewood offers English style riding lessons and has a program suitable for any type of rider, from beginner to advanced. Riders can transition into specific disciplines, such as saddleseat, hunt seat, western or basic dressage once the program's fundamentals are mastered. Applewood's riding program educates students on:
- Safety
- Horsemanship
- Proper horse grooming and tacking
Instructor Change - There may be occasions that we (instructors) get behind. This may be the result of many things including safety, students needing extra time, weather, available horses, or students arriving late. We ask that you are prepared for this at any time. If you have another commitment and need to leave on time, please let the instructor know as soon as you arrive for your lesson.
Weather Policy – Lessons may be cancelled if it is below 10 degrees or higher than 90 degrees. At the trainer’s discretion may elect to do a ground lesson or caring, training or show. Otherwise, if the lesson is cancelled you will be allowed to schedule a make-up lesson of your package.

Private Lesson
- 30-Minute Lesson = $65.00
Semi-Private & Group Lesson
- 1-45 minute Semi-Private Group Lesson = $55.00
*Note: All prices are subject to change. If Applewood needs to cancel due to inclement weather riders will be notified of make up days.

Lesson Packages (Subscription)
By purchasing a package of lessons (e.g. eight (8) or sixteeen weeks (16)) you commit to a minimum of one lesson a week No cancellations. No rescheduling of lesson.
A package is a time commitmement and offers a weekly savings v. the regular lesson price.
Packages lessons are approximately 45 minutes long
- Package of Eight (8) GROUP Lessons = $360.00 (Savings of $40.00)
- Package of sixteen (16) GROUP Lessons = $600.00 (Savings of $200.00)
- Package of eight (8) 30 min Lessons = $440.00 (Savings of $80.00)
*Note: All prices are subject to change. If Applewood needs to cancel due to inclement weather riders will be notified of make up days. No RIDER Cancellations and carry-overs are not allowed.
